James L. Chappuis, MD, FACS, leads a dynamic professional life bridging medicine and the arts. As the owner and founder of Rejuvenate Restore Med Spa, his commitment to health and wellness is palpable. Driven by a deep-seated passion for both science and creativity, Dr. Chappuis embarked on his journey with a bachelor’s degree earned summa cum laude, followed by a medical degree from the University of Toledo. His pursuit led him through rigorous residencies in general and orthopedic surgery at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic, complemented by a prestigious AO spine fellowship in Germany.
Dr. Chappuis is celebrated for his holistic approach to spine care, advocating for complementary therapies alongside traditional treatments. His expertise is widely recognized through publications in esteemed journals and features in prominent industry platforms such as Becker’s Spine Review. Beyond his medical achievements, Dr. Chappuis is a fervent patron of the arts. His vision culminated in the establishment of the Westside Cultural Arts Center in Atlanta, a vibrant hub empowering local artists and fostering dialogue through innovative exhibitions that challenge societal norms.
In addition to his roles in medicine and the arts, Dr. Chappuis contributes to academia as a faculty member at the Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience at Georgia Tech University and as a clinical instructor at Georgia Regents University. His diverse interests are further underscored by his involvement in editorial boards and his status as a holder of multiple medical device patents. Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Chappuis finds joy in gardening, exploring new destinations, and staying active in athletics.
